Talk Show to Air Next Week on Comcast’s Reston Community Television Channel 28
Tysons Corner, Va. (August 23)—The Tysons tunnel debate will hit the Reston television airwaves next week.
“Rail to Dulles, Under NOT Over” will be the featured topic on “Reston Impact,” a community-oriented talk show that airs on Comcast’s Reston Community Television (channel 28). The program will air Aug. 26 at 8 p.m. and will be repeated Sept. 4 at 10 p.m. It also will be available for online viewing at the Reston Community Television’s Web site at www.rctv28.com beginning the middle of September.
TysonsTunnel.org President Scott A. Monett and Washington, D.C. architect and transportation expert William B. Gallagher Jr., AIA, a partner at KPG Design, will be the featured guests. The duo fielded questions from show host John Lovaas, a long-time Reston community activist, about the future of Metrorail to Dulles International Airport and the potential for a Tysons Corner tunnel.
Reston Impact is an hour-long, community-access program that focuses on public-policy issues affecting the residents of Reston, Va. and the immediate vicinity. The show brings together key players to explore issues and inform viewers how they can get involved and have an impact on issues affecting the community.
TysonsTunnel.org represents an unprecedented coalition of community associations, small businesses, environmental groups, landowners, civic groups, homeowner associations, major corporations and private citizens calling for competitive bidding of the Metrorail extension to Dulles Airport and supporting construction of a tunnel under Tysons Corner.
